Macon is the destination for todays post! My trip to Macon for Nneka and Obinna’s Engagement Session was completely worth it. I met them for the 1st time and could immediately tell they are two really fun people. The shoot took place at Barnes & Noble. After their first date they walked into this Barnes & Noble, checked out a few things and at some point just knew they were meant to be together. So when Nneka told me she would like to take pictures there I thought it was a great idea. Barnes & Noble was shutdown so this hot couple could take pictures..lol Just kidding 🙂 Special thanks to the Barnes & Noble management! We had such a great time. Really looking forward to the wedding. Check out some pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Hello Friends! Thanks for dropping by. Today i have a surprise proposal to share!
Kam is a fellow wedding photographer and has assisted me in the past so i was excited when she contacted me about doing a shoot for her. I know you are probably wondering why she would contact me to cover a surprise proposal that she is not supposed to know about?…lol. Well, as with all proposals there is always a behind the scenes story. Kam and Dion have always wanted to take proffesional pictures together which worked to Dion’s advantage in his plan to surprise Kam. Kam’s birthday was coming up so they decided they would like to do a shoot just for fun and to celebrate Kam’s birthday. Dion contacted me shortly after to explain his grand plan. His plan was for her to just believe they would do a shoot and go to dinner after the shoot. However the real plan was after the shoot he would make a pit stop at her parents house to pick something up (cover up ) but all her close friends and family would be there waiting to surprise her for her birthday party. The second part of the surprise was to propose to her and offcourse she had absolutely no idea this was going to happen. At the end of the day everything worked out perfectly! I had so much fun with them on the shoot and glad i could capture the big surprise. Congrats guys! Check out some of the pictures from the day!

TGIF folks! I am sure you are all looking forward to thanksgiving. I want to share Carliss and Wayne’s awesome wedding today. From the first time i met Carliss and Wayne i just got this great warm vibe from them. They are the kind of people you just want to be around. Their e-session was laid back and fun so i knew their wedding would be the same. I am so glad i was part of their big day. I wish you both a happy married life! Enjoy a few images from the day.

Hey guys! Thanks for swinging by. The wedding season is winding down but i have a lot of engagement sessions lined up. Its definitely a good idea for couples to get their pictures taken early since it gets hectic later. I had a really nice fun time with Linnea and Vincent and i can’t wait for their big day next year. Check out how it all started and the proposal story below. Enjoy!
How it all started:
Vince and I met at the University of Georgia. I was in graduate school and he was completing his Senior year and final collegiate football season as a Bulldog. Although I never tutored Vince, I actually tutored and mentored student athletes at Georgia and ended up being pretty cool with a few of his fraternity (line) brothers/teammates. We were originally introduced by them at a party my friends and I attended in Athens. A semester or two had passed and we never crossed paths again. I found myself at “The Rankin” late-night preparing for the new semester and working on my own school work. I didn’t even notice Vince walk in (hard to believe considering his is a small 6’7″) but he came over, shook my hand said hello re-introduced himself, and asked me how my summer was and school etc. as if we were old friends. We had a brief conversation and who would have known that simple “Hello” turned into the two of us finding our “forever”.
Proposal Story:
Tucked back in the woods at my grandfather’s house is a quaint and quiet creek. My cousins and I used to go on “adventures” through the woods to this creek all the time. As we have become older no longer is it an adventure spot but often time a place to escape in our thoughts. I told Vince about the creek and told him that I would show him one day. Fast forward a few years as my family is preparing for Christmas 2011 at my granddad’s house, matching pajamas and all, I finally got the chance to show him the creek. It was a typical sunny December day in Georgia, perfect to go exploring while we were waiting on the rest of my family to arrive. We head towards the woods….if you guys could have been there you would have laughed watching me of all people lead this excursion and Vince following behind getting beat down by all the tree limbs and prickly bushes in his path. I look up and suddenly everything looks the same, I swear I can hear the water but….I know it didn’t take 20minutes to get to this creek and after awhile we both made the executive decision to just turn back around…Thank God Vince was once a boy scout! We finally reached the clearing, both of us have worked up a little sweat on this adventure and we paused. Vince had to do a bug check and make sure none were in my hair. He then looked me in my eyes, held my hands, and started telling me how much I meant to him (HA I’ll spare you all the sappy details)! He then said he didn’t want to begin the new year without knowing I was going to be by his side and then…..Bling! Bling! He asked me to marry him, YAY!

Fotos by Fola Blog is 2! Well, it turned two was last month specifically but i was out of the country so was unable to acknowledge it. However, before things start getting extremely busy this upcoming wedding season i just wanted to use this opportunity to thank all Fotos by Fola Friends/supporters/followers. You are truly appreciated. I still remember when the journey started and you were all there through the learning process till now. It makes my job much more enjoyable when i know i have an amazing group of people supporting me. Thank you so much! A special thanks to my only FBF partner – My Wife for her assistance in all aspects of the business. Without her initial push there would not have been a FBF. I look forward to capturing all the special moments this year and many more years to come. Thank you all so much. God bless!
A post is not complete without pictures. Checkout one image from each post this past year. Enjoy!

Hello Everyone! Happy new month!
Ironically the first post of this month is a newborn post :). Remember Jessica and Johnathan’s Maternity Session? Well, their bundle of joy arrived a bit early and both parents were extremely happy to finally meet their baby boy Cameron. I am very happy for the Johnson Family as this has been a true journey for the entire family. God bless your family. Enjoy a few images of baby Cameron with mom and dad.

Hello friends, on this post i decided to switch things up a bit. I noticed i have not posted kid/baby pictures in a while so i decided to share the Marie family session. Filesha recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Sofia and wanted to use the opportunity to get pictures of the whole family. Her twins Melia & Laila were an interesting & curious duo. Every time i pointed the camera at them they would stare at me with a look that says “who are you and what are you doing?” lol. Its always fun capturing kids on camera since you’re constantly chasing them around and never know what’s going to happen next. I really had a nice time with the Hannif family. Check out a few images from the day along with some comments. Enjoy.
This is a shot that i feel both sisters will forever cherish. The smile from Laila suggests the simple joy of just having a twin sis. I converted it to black & White to give it a timeless feel.
You can pretty much get an idea of their personalities from these images. The beauty of unique twins.
The first image depicts the sincere mother & Child love with mom joyfully gazing down at her precious newborn. Definitely a beautiful moment. If you doubt the immediate bond a baby has with mommy check out the second image and notice how Sofia tightly grips mommy’s finger. That’s what you call natural instincts 🙂
Melia & Laila: toddler models in the making.
Really love this image. I was able to catch them all focused on the toy book and its a genuine moment were mom is glad to do the honors. I relate to this because my son loves when we read to him.
Beautiful Sofia taking a peaceful nap. There is just something calming about watching a newborn sleep. You’ll have a deeper appreciation for life.
I wanted to get a shot of the full colorful outfit Sofia was rocking. Very cute.
I captured the same image from a different angle. Wanted to focus on the face and have the ruffles and color of the
outfit slightly blurred to give a unique look.
Mom, Dad & Sofia the newest member of the family. Unconditional Love.

A wedding i did last year was featured on the bride of Color blog. This is not your typical wedding blog as they celebrate the cultural diversity of weddings. Make sure you check them out!
I had the privilege of taking pictures for the Atunnise family. Pastor Tim & Pastor Becky are the pastors of my church Global Visions Ministries. They are a down to earth family and like a second family to me. I had a great time with them along with their two kids Tomi and Yinka. Check out a few pics from the session Enjoy!
