Hello Folks! Thanks for swinging by!

Tarah and Rico live out of state so I met them for the 1st time during the shoot. It’s always interesting meeting a client on the day their shoot. I typically use the opportunity to get to know more about the couple while getting great shots in the process. Tarah and Rico are so down to earth, fun and loving. It was a really cold day but nothing could cool down the love they share for each other 🙂 lol. We started off at the Biltmore then took a walk around the Midtown Atlanta area. I definitely enjoyed this session and can’t wait for their wedding. Enjoy some images from the day and the story of how it all started!

In 2007, we were introduced by mutual friend at a cook-out Rico hosted in his old apartment. Over the years, we remained friends and soon realized we saw each other as more than friends. Although Tarah was overseas at the time, our hearts were knitting together and we decided to give a relationship a try in 2011. We have been cherishing every moment since and are truly blessed that God decided to bring us together.

Hello Folks and Happy new year once again. I hope to showcase tons of wonderful couples and events this year and invite you to come along on this 2013 journey. I truly feel 2013 will be an amazing year for all of us!!

To get 2013 started i would like to introduce you to Alexandra and Michael. Alexandra found out about me through another awesome couple. I later found out they are also friends with another couple i shot Linnea & Vincent and Michael will actually be on their wedding party. I honestly love how my clients are connected. Three words i would use to describe Alexandra and Michael are cool, fun and stylish. I really had a great time with both of them. Alexandra and Michael grew up in Atlanta so they wanted their pictures to reflect that. We started off at their favorite park Piedmont Park then to Atlantic Station where we got some great skyline shots. Congrats on your engagement guys! Check out the story on how it all started and a few pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Alexandra and Michael met in January of 2005 at their alma mater, the Bulldog Nation- The University of Georgia. They were instantly drawn to each other and became close friends. The friendship rapidly developed into more and by May of 2005, this happy couple was official. They were young and in love and the sky was the limit for this ambitious and attractive pair. They both excelled at UGA and went on to pursue advanced degrees post college- Alexandra is currently pursuing her JD from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC, set to graduate this May and Michael completing his MBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in May of 2012. It was after his graduation ceremony in Boston that Michael, surrounded by close family with the beautiful Boston skyline as a backdrop, got down on one knee and asked Alexandra to spend the rest of her life loving him.
Among the couple’s favorite activities are traveling, listening to music and going to live concerts and of course, UGA and Falcons football. Over the years their love for each other continues to grow, and they know that at the end of the day, despite the curveballs life can present, as long as they have each other, they are capable of anything. They share their lives with their “child” an American Staffordshire Terrier, Sasha, Alexandra’s college graduation gift to Michael. Their wedding is set for November 10th, 2013 at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, GA.

Ronica + Christopher E-Session | Davidson College | Downtown Charlotte NC | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Hello folks! Happy day after election day! 🙂

Ronica was actually a bridesmaid at a wedding i shot back in 2011 (Bettina & Kenloy). So when she contacted me that she was engaged i was pretty excited for her. I love clients that come from past clients! Ronica & Christopher are based in Charlotte NC so the shoot took place over there. Ronica & Christopher treated me to a really good time and gave me mini tour of Charlotte 🙂 . Christopher played college football for Davidson College so we got some really cool Football themed shots at the school’s stadium. Loved the Jerseys with their fav teams, last name and Wedding date! We also made a stop at their favorite Doughnut shop Krispy Kreme then went to Downtown Charlotte to get some Evening shots. It was such a fun day and i got to know Ronica & Christopher so well. Looking forward to their wedding next year! Check out their awesome story below!

How we met:
We met on November 21, 2009 at the wedding of the minister of silent ambassador (sign language interpretation) of our church. Ronica was the hostess and I was an usher.I remember my first time talking to Ronica was in sign language, as there were many deaf and hearing impaired people at the wedding, and after a few signs I realized that she was still learning sign language, but I knew from that moment I wanted to get to know her more. So after the ceremony was over I was looking for Ronica so I could sit near her and I noticed her standing towards the back of the room. We began talking and getting to know a little bit about each other and exchanged phone numbers, and from that moment my spirit told me that she would be my wife.

The proposal:
The proposal took place on August 17, 2012 at 8:17pm, but it started around 3:30 pm. We had been talking about printing out pictures and making a scrap book of our pictures over the years. When I asked Ronica to be my girlfriend I had her do a scavenger hunt and find different clues asking her to be my girlfriend, and with the proposal I took the same approach. The first clue came in the pictures for the scrap book and it was a picture of me signing the word “will.” The clues then led us to the restaurant where we had our first date at the same table we ate at. There I gave her a picture of me signing “you.” The clues then led us to Krispy Kreme where we both love a hot fresh doughnut and there I gave her a picture of me signing “marry.” The final clue led us to our church where would receive the final picture of me signing “me” and at 8:17 pm in front of the church I asked Ronica to be my wife, and she said “yes, absolutely yes!”

Linnea & Vincent Engagement Session | Downtown Marietta | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Hey guys! Thanks for swinging by. The wedding season is winding down but i have a lot of engagement sessions lined up. Its definitely a good idea for couples to get their pictures taken early since it gets hectic later. I had a really nice fun time with Linnea and Vincent and i can’t wait for their big day next year. Check out how it all started and the proposal story below. Enjoy!

How it all started:
Vince and I met at the University of Georgia. I was in graduate school and he was completing his Senior year and final collegiate football season as a Bulldog. Although I never tutored Vince, I actually tutored and mentored student athletes at Georgia and ended up being pretty cool with a few of his fraternity (line) brothers/teammates. We were originally introduced by them at a party my friends and I attended in Athens. A semester or two had passed and we never crossed paths again. I found myself at “The Rankin” late-night preparing for the new semester and working on my own school work. I didn’t even notice Vince walk in (hard to believe considering his is a small 6’7″) but he came over,shook my hand said hello re-introduced himself, and asked me how my summer was and school etc. as if we were old friends. We had a brief conversation and who would have known that simple “Hello” turned into the two of us finding our “forever”.

Proposal Story:
Tucked back in the woods at my grandfather’s house is a quaint and quiet creek. My cousins and I used to go on “adventures” through the woods to this creek all the time. As we have become older no longer is it an adventure spot but often time a place to escape in our thoughts. I told Vince about the creek and told him that I would show him one day. Fast forward a few years as my family is preparing for Christmas 2011 at my granddad’s house, matching pajamas and all, I finally got the chance to show him the creek. It was a typical sunny December day in Georgia, perfect to go exploring while we were waiting on the rest of my family to arrive. We head towards the woods….if you guys could have been there you would have laughed watching me of all people lead this excursion and Vince following behind getting beat down by all the tree limbs and prickly bushes in his path. I look up and suddenly everything looks the same, I swear I can hear the water but….I know it didn’t take 20minutes to get to this creek and after awhile we both made the executive decision to just turn back around…Thank God Vince was once a boy scout! We finally reached the clearing, both of us have worked up a little sweat on this adventure and we paused. Vince had to do a bug check and make sure none were in my hair. He then looked me in my eyes, held my hands, and started telling me how much I meant to him (HA I’ll spare you all the sappy details)! He then said he didn’t want to begin the new year without knowing I was going to be by his side and then…..Bling! Bling! He asked me to marry him, YAY!

TGIF!!! I am sure you are looking forward to the weekend..i know i am 🙂 . I’ll get it rolling with a great engagement session. The saying that the world can be so small tends to sound Cliché but it really is. Keisha found me online but after we exchanged details i found out we literally live in the same sub-division. What are the odds?..lol. Our connection was meant to be 🙂 . I had a great time with Keisha and Ervan who are both very down to earth, loving and fun. Matt & Kristin Surprise Proposal | Atlanta Botanical Garden | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Happy Friday! Going to switch gears a bit. Today i have a surprise proposal to share. Matt contacted me about his big plans and i was more than excited to be a part of it. Kristin loves flowers so the plan was to propose at the Atlanta Botanical Garden which has a ton of flowers. Matt also did not want Kristin to know pictures were being taken until she says the big “Yes”. Obviously i had to make sure i was not seen when they were both walking around the garden which was not an easy task..lol. Thankfully everything worked out and Matt & Kristin are now Engaged! Tanika & James Part 1 | Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel | Montego Bay Jamaica | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Hello Everyone and thanks for dropping by. I first met Tanika and James back in 2010 when Tanika planned a big surprise birthday party for her new boyfriend James. When Tanika contacted me earlier this year and told me they got engaged i was very happy for both of them. I was even more excited when she decided she wanted me capture her big day in Jamaica. To start off the amazing weekend we took some really cool evening shots at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel. Tanika and James are very stylish so these shot are not your typical island pictures..lol. I’ll blog the awesome wedding pictures soon so stay tuned. Enjoy!

Davita & David Engagement Session | Little Five Points | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Hope you all had a great weekend. I have an awesome e-session to share with you. Davita and David have known each other since High school. So i knew this session would be a breeze and it sure was. I felt i was hanging with two really close friends. I honestly had a great time. If you’ve been to Little five points you know this location has a ton of character. It’s a really cool spot and we took advantage of various elements like the live band playing on the sidewalk, the Graffiti walls and the parked Retro cars! I am really looking forward to the wedding next month! Check out the proposal story below and pictures from the session. Enjoy!

Proposal story:

David went on a restaurant search to find the Italian restaurant where we had our first date. This was very difficult since the restaurant at the location we visited was closed for business. Lord behold he found the new location, and we had to drive close to 45 minutes to get there! During dinner I knew something was up! He seemed nervous the entire time, which is very odd since we’ve been together for seven years at the time and there was absolutely nothing that we haven’t said, done, or hidden from each other. At the end of dinner he started rambling about Lord knows what, then he finally got on one knee and proposed, and of course I said YES!

Ijeoma & Ezi actually just got married but I wanted to put up some pics from their e-session or better yet “Love session”..lol. I’ve known Ijeoma for a while so she is more than just a client.
