As the wedding season begins to wind down i start to secretly hope the weddings i cover are not just fun but also unique. This definitely was not an issue at  Salethia and LeVar’s wedding.  I had some non-traditional shot ideas for Salethia and LeVar and they were down for it with no hesitation. I was not surprised because they were so great on the e-session we shot a few months back. The bridal party also brought soo much fun to this wedding. I love the urban feel of the wedding and really happy that i was a part of it. Congrats guys!! Check out some images from the day. Enjoy 🙂

When Tobi first contacted me about her wedding she was pretty sure of what she wanted from her wedding photographer and i love that about her.  Tobi is such a great bride and i honestly can’t ask for anything better. From their e-session i could feel the strong love Tobi and Daniel have for each other. I knew the wedding would be a day filled with nothing but happiness. I am glad they allowed me to be a part of it. Congrats guys!  I truly wish you the best! Check out some pictures from the day.  Enjoy.

Aleshia & Justin happily tied the knot in the beautiful city of Savannah. It’s was an intimate wedding that had the same character as the city it was held in. I really had a great time from the beginning to the end especially our walk around the city after the ceremony.  Congrats Aleshia & Justin and thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day. Wish you both the best. Check out some pics from the day.

Love, joy, happiness and excitement was the vibe throughout this e-session. You can’t ask for anything better than that!   Laid back and fun are the words i would use to describe Cassandra and Shelton. I had a great time with them and i am really looking forward to their wedding early next year. Check out some shots from this session which took place at the Centennial Olympic Park Atlanta. Enjoy!

Susan and Azu tied the knot a few weeks ago and i know for sure they had an amazing time doing so. It really seemed everyone just wanted to have blast. I enjoyed every moment of this colorful and fun Nigerian wedding. Thanks Christina for assisting on this wedding. Below is a short story of how the couple met. This is Azu’s side of the story..lol.  Enjoy!

I was invited to a game night by one of my friends.  While socializing, this beautiful, fine, young woman walked in.  I remember that she was wearing a lovely green shirt, jeans, and sexy heels.  I noticed her immediately, but I didn’t say anything.  As the night went on and we played Taboo, I saw that she had wit and was pretty good at the game…but she seemed quiet and demure. I didn’t talk to her that night, but when I got home I just couldn’t let the image of her go.  I called my friends to get her name and information.  When I received her information, I looked her up on Facebook.  We exchanged numbers. At the time, I was traveling to Dallas on a weekly basis and working weekends.  We talked on the phone almost daily.  We had a lot in common, but I yearned to take her out on a date.  When we did finally have our first date, it was amazing.  The conversation never ended and we had such a blast, that I never wanted to leave.  On that day, I knew we were meant to be together.

Jessica  & Kenyon had a beautiful intimate wedding and i was glad to be part of it. Jessica’s mom is from Puerto Rico and dad from Cape Verde so you can imagine the cultural fusion that took place. There was a WHOLE lot of dancing! I might have even whipped out some of my Latin moves while clicking away..lol. There was soo much love in this wedding. I love the moment dad and Jessica had during their dance. I wish Jessica & Kenyon a wonderful & happy married life! Check out some pics from the day and a little about the couple.

We’ve been together (on and off, mostly on) since September 1999. Yes, almost 12 years. We met in Providence, RI – Johnson & Wales University freshman orientation week. Through the years we’ve been through it all (almost literally)… and yet here we are.

How he proposed?
He took me to a surprise dinner at the Sun Dial Restaurant at the top of the Westin hotel in downtown Atlanta. This restaurant is pretty unique as it actually rotates 360 degrees giving guest a full view of the entire city.
We had dinner and afterwards he came over to my side of the table took my hand and began to tell me about why he picked this restaurant. He said the full circle we experienced at the restaurant was symbolic to the full circle we have experienced in our relationship and it was time for us to take the next step. He took out the ring asked me to marry him, I said yes!

Kara & Brian are getting married next year so they got a great head start by getting their e-session done this year. I really loved this e-session because it took absolutely zero minutes for Kara & Brian to get comfortable. Usually with many clients i have to work my magic to get them to feel free. I believe a fun couple = fun wedding. Although the wedding is not until 2012 i am really looking forward to it. The session took place at the beautiful Carter Center. Thank you Lindsey Ciener for allowing us to use this location. Very Appreciated! (Future brides make sure you check out this amazing place). Check out the pics below and a little about Kara & Brian. Enjoy!

The story of Kara and Brian

Brian and Kara met the summer of 2004 in Statesboro, GA.  It was a hot summer so there wasn’t much to do but attend summer school, eat, sleep, and go out after the sun went down.  Kara had returned to Statesboro after the first term of summer classes to pack her things in her apartment and catch up with a few friends.  It was towards the end of the summer and a new student meet and greet was being held on campus.  It was tradition for all active student organizations to participate in this event to welcome the incoming freshman into the university. The night of the meet and greet, the Student Recreation Center (affectionately known as the RAC) was packed with people.  After a round of volleyball on the court, Kara and her line sister Janine decided to watch from the sidelines.  Janine and Kara went to the nearest bench where, Kara had laid her student id and sat down.  When Kara went to grab her student id, she noticed the id was that of Brian Kennebrew.  She commented, “Oh, he’s cute.”  Janine said, “He’s right there and pointed.”  Kara glanced back, nodded in approval and thought nothing more of it.  The next day, there was a small gathering at a local bar named Baja Burrito.  That night, Kara was with a group of friends and sorority sisters having a good time.  She noticed Brian walking towards her and her friends from across the room.  Kara pretended to ignore him until Janine tapped her on the shoulders and introduced Brian.  Brian and Kara made small talk throughout the night and got to know each other.  At the end of the night, they exchanged phone numbers and the rest is history.  They have been inseparable ever since.

Facts about Kara:

-Loves to help others

-Loves a good laugh

-A dog lover

-A lover of the arts

-Usually falls asleep on movies

-From time to time ruins a good joke 🙂

Facts about Brian:

-Extremely knowledgeable about weather and storm systems

-He was a dancer in another life

-He’s a charmer

-He has a great sense of humor

-He can run really fast (not really he had knee surgery on both knees)

Facts about Brian and Kara:

-They enjoy a good laugh

-They finish each others sentence

-They both wore braces at one point in their lives

-They are both athletic

-Family is very important to them

August 4, 2011 | Kids, showcase | 9 Comments

Seriously time flies. It was just like yesterday when i did the maternity session for ini’s mom and dad. Now Inioluwa is 1! I am privileged to be part of ini’s life not just as a photographer but as her godfather. Watching her reach this milestone puts joy in my heart. Her birthday party was awesome thanks to mom and dad! From the kids playing with bubbles to the adults attempting to hula hoop it was one fun party! Check out some pics from the day.

What are you up to birthday girl? lol

Happy Birthday Inioluwa!

When i first met Angela & Patrick i knew they were great people. Their wedding weekend showed me how much they are loved by everyone. I enjoyed every moment of the wedding  and the weekend in Savannah. Angela also gets point for being one of the coolest brides ever. The wedding ceremony was supposed to be outdoors overlooking the river but the weather had different plans. The decision was made to move the ceremony indoors. For some reason i thought the morale would be down but Angela and co were still up beat and it turned to be a beautiful wedding regardless. Like the pastor of the day said “Life throws the unexpected at you..you simply have to move on and don’t let it affect you”. I know i always say “the wedding was fun” but seriously this was a FUN Wedding!  Congrats to Angela and Patrick. I wish you both a joy filled married life!

Shout out to my lovely wife for assisting on this wedding. Awesome Second shooter 🙂

I love how Angela was still hands on till the very last minute!

Mom has to look good to you know..lol

The wedding party surprised the guests with a Michael Jackson themed mob dance. It was brilliant!

The guests went bananas when this duo did the “dougie dance”..lol
