Hello Friends! Thank you for dropping by. Excited to share Anita & Anand’s Engagement session on the blog.  Last year i shot a surprise proposal for a couple and Anita was one of the guests that came for the surprise. I was so happy she thought of me when she got engaged!  Anita and Anad are a very laid back and fun couple. They enjoy taking walks at Piedmont park and hanging out at their favorite coffee shop Starbucks. We wanted the session to be all about them and feel as authentic as possible. I had a great time not only taking their pictures but also getting to know them better. Congrats on your engagement guys! Check out some images from the day. Enjoy.

Hello there! Excited about today’s post featuring Shade and Folarin. I’ve known Shade for over 10 years! So we go waaaay back… way before any of us even had marriage on our radar.  So i am thrilled that i get to be a part of her day. Shade Relocated to DC so we had the option of shooting in DC or ATL . I am glad we chose DC. There is something special about the Capitol! I met Folarin on the day of the shoot. He picked me up from the Airport so we got to chat about all sorts of topics and most importantly i got to know him more 🙂 . He is such a cool guy and i am happy he is making my good friend Shade happy!  For the shoot we started off at the National Gallery of Art DC then we ended the shoot at Union Station. It was a great experience and we all truly enjoyed it. I can’t wait for their big day. Congrats to Shade & Folarin! Check out some images from the shoot. Enjoy!

Hello! Thank you so much for swinging by. Today i have Eghosa & Eyituoyo gracing the blog! This was an amazing shoot. We had soo much fun. The horses were so gentle and very camera ready! Most importantly i could feel the love between Eghosa & Eyituoyo. Such an amazing couple. I am really looking forward to their upcoming wedding! Check out some images from the shoot and a little about the couple below. Enjoy! Special thanks to Dennis of Adopt-a-Horse for taking good care of us.

Our Story:
Once upon a time…… 🙂 well, our story is a testimony! We grew up together. We would randomly see each other at parties and knew ourselves to be close family friends. We both saw something in each other and had nothing but respect for each other. As we grew individually, our relationship became closer, not knowing that we would be here today. God has been so good to us. Many trials and tests, but thank God that He is our foundation. We love spending quality time with each other, going to movies, spas, shopping, and surprising each other. We love being there for people and supporting in any way possible. If there is one thing that we would like to highlight about ourselves, that is the grace of God is sufficient, and as he has been there for us and knowing that He will continually be our rock; we encourage you to call upon Him in every situation.
We look forward to sharing more with you on our wedding day! 🙂
God Bless you!
Proposal story:
It was Tuoyo’s 30th birthday, I told him that I would plan a birthday party for him; the only thing he had to do was show up. I remember telling him this about 6 months before his birthday. Planning his birthday party was very exciting for me, because I knew this was going to be his first party. The day of his party came after months of planning and I was so excited, looking forward to seeing him have a wonderful night as he celebrated his 30th. I had different entertainments planned for the day, with a few disappointments the day off, I was still optimistic that he would have a wonderful time. While the party was going on, I realized many distractions, I was called to the kitchen, then to the car, and then someone else called me to go over the program. During this time, I heard the MC calling my name on the microphone, as I walked up, I saw Tuoyo standing in the middle of rose petals shaped in a heart with candles surrounding the heart. And he asked me to step into the heart with him. He asked my sisters and his sisters to come up as well, he thanked me for everything and handed me a box, I remember everyone hailing and asking me to open the box, as I opened the box, it was an ipad and on the back was engraved, Eghosa P. Asoro, will you marry me? I turned around to look at tuoyo and he was on his knee. I think after that, I spaced out; I can not really remember what happened after that, I was overwhelmed with joy. I could not believe what just happened at the moment. Just when I thought I was going to make his 30th birthday one to remember, he made it about us! I am truly grateful to have this man in my life, I am looking forward to out future. God has a plan! 🙂

Hello friends! Sorry for the break in blog posts. Spring is in the air so its a busy time of the year. Good weather translates to time to take pictures..lol. I have a simple love shoot to share today. It’s not an engagement shoot  and it is not a wedding but a celebration of love. Alisha & Elijah are having a private court wedding but still wanted some good pictures to celebrate their union so they contacted me to do a shoot. I just wanted the pictures to showcase their love for each other. It was simple, fun and personal. I truly enjoyed this session. I wish you both the very best. Congrats! Check out some images from the shoot below.

Hello there! Adaobi & Ogonna are getting married exactly 1 month from today! Bad weather almost prevented this shoot from happening but thank God the rain held up.  I enjoyed my time with this awesome couple. Their fun and laid back attitude made the shoot a breeze. We started off at the Historic Georgian Terrace Hotel then proceeded to Lenox Park. Looking forward to the wedding next month. Check out some images below and the story of how they met. Enjoy!

According to Her:

It wasn’t the ‘love at first sight’ type of meeting, but it was ‘love at first talk’. Ogonna and my older brother, Uzo, were classmates in secondary school (FGC Nise). So I would say he knew me ‘indirectly’ though I didn’t know him. A mutual friend hit me up, asking for permission to give out my number to Ogonna. I was skeptical to talk to him at first, especially since he lived far away. However, I still agreed to give it a try.
The first few days we talked, the connection was shocking and almost unbelievable. We had a lot in common, including mutual friends. We talked and laughed day after day, night after night, and the rest they say is history.

According to Him:

I don’t know how to explain how God placed this amazing lady in my life. However, I’ve truly seen that everything happens for a reason.
I first knew of Adaobi when her pic caught my eye on her brother’s (who happens to be my high school buddy) Facebook page. I didn’t think too much of it, as she was just my friend’s sister, at the time at least. After I had practically forgotten all about that incident, my uncle’s wife wanted to introduce me to a friend that she grew up with. When I heard her name I was shocked that it was the same girl I had secretly admired a while back. After I calmed the butterflies in my stomach and finally gave her a call, I got to know a girl that I felt like I’d known all my life. I was also shocked at the number of mutual friends we had, but never crossed paths earlier.
As time went by, and we grew closer and closer, I had no doubt in my mind that I had found the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. A girl that is perfect for me.

Hello Friends! Thank you from dropping by. Last year i took a trip to Houston for Dami and Toyosi’s Engagement Session. We started out at the Crystal Ballroom @ the Historic Rice Hotel then proceeded to the beautiful Water Wall and finally to the Museum of Fine Arts. It ended up being a two day shoot and i enjoyed every moment. Dami and Toyosi kept me entertained throughout  the trip and there was not one dull moment. I am already looking forward to their wedding. Congrats on your engagement guys! Check out the proposal story below. I hope you enjoy it as much as i did!

The Proposal (According to the Bride):

Toyosi and I always celebrate the 16th of every month because this is the date that we first began our relationship. He always gave me the impression that he is not romantic, and I will be the one in the relationship to initiate most of the creative, romantic ideas. So I would often plan what event/activity that we would do on the 16th of each month.

Well the month of August 2013 rolled around, and Toyosi told me that he would like to plan our “16th” for this month. I was a bit hesitant and worried, but I agreed. A week to the date, I reminded him that he would be the one to plan for the celebration, and says “oh, I am. I completely forgot.” “Maybe we would just go to Chinese or something.” At this point, I started abusing him, and I refused to go. Little did I know, I was about to miss my blessing. Eventually, I came back to my senses and I agreed to go out with him. He told me to be ready by 7pm that he would come pick me up at my apartment.

He picks me up, and he just starts showering me with words of love. I just thought that this was a normal day. His smile was extra big, and he had this confidence that I haven’t seen before. Toyosi usually doesn’t know how to navigate through downtown Houston, and usually, he would ask me to help me GPS our destination, but he didn’t ask on this day. I just started thinking, “where is he taking me too”. “There is no way that this guy knows more Houston restaurants than me.”

We park and walk into the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Houston, and I was completely taken back. I am still thinking that this guy went all out for our “16th”. We took the elevator to the top level, and at the top was a restaurant called “Spindle Top”. The restaurant spins, and your view are the city lights and downtown area. I was again thinking “Wow, this is nice. He really went all out for our “16th””.

When we entered the restaurant, Toyosi was greeted by the manager, Hector. They talked like they haven’t seen each other in a while. At this point I am thinking, “What other chick did he bring here?” “How does he know the manager?” “When will he have time to come to this restaurant?” The waitress sat us at our table, and Toyosi starts caking in my ear. Im still pretty impressed. I didn’t think a Naija man had it in him. The manager would often walk by our table and say “Oh what a beautiful couple.” The chef came out and said “Is this a special night?” I was still completely clueless. You know they born me in a bush. I thought their mannerisms was customary.

The time comes for dessert, and they bring out his dessert first. I thought that was weird but was having a great time, that I did not care. The next few events were just a blur. The manager walked towards me with a message in a bottle and a box that had a light on a platter. I didn’t realize it was the ring at first. At the same time, the chef placed my dessert in front of me and it wrote “Will you marry me?” on the plate. I was sooooooooooo shocked!!! I was just like “ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!” Thats all I could say. I cried like a baby. Toyosi was on his knees. Dont know if he said anything. Dont care. I said yes, and here we are today.

Good times. Good times.

Hello there! Sorry for the break in blog posts. It was extremely busy over the past two months. I am excited to feature Briona and Kris on the blog today!  I  met both of them for the first time on the day of the shoot and everything with them was just so effortless. I simply love their laid back and fun attitude.  They are true friends and you can’t go wrong with that!  It was so cold on the day of the shoot and i commend Briona and Kris for making it look like it was 70 degrees..lol.  Congrats on your engagement guys! Check out how they met and proposal story below!

How we met

Kris and I went to college together at Alabama State University. We both are members of the Divine 9. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Although we never actually met in college, we knew who each other was because of the Greek affiliation. One random day I received a message on the infamous facebook and it stated verbatim “You are amazingly beautiful”. I thought to myself, “he must tell this to every pretty girl on facebook”. That’s how it all began. I didn’t recognize him at first because he lost a lot of weight and once I facebooked snooped…it all came back to me. Lol We dated a year and a half before he popped the question!

Proposal

June 28th, 2014. Kris, my immediate family and I all went to a local baseball game (Birmingham Barons) in Birmingham, Al. Maybe…around the bottom of the 3rd inning I look at the jumbotron and saw that they were doing “Sweetheart of the game”, then I saw myself on camera. By that time I was so embarrassed! I was laughing and trying to hide my face! Then the guy that’s always talking on the mic and the mascot came walking up to me. They handed me a dozen roses and gave Kris the mic. He then got down on his knee and proposed right there…meanwhile it was all being shown on jumbotron! It was the sweetest thing ever! So after he proposed we were about to leave the game and all I saw was a group of ppl running towards me! He had all of my friends and family there!! But the total shocker was that he flew my best friend, that lives in California out to be a part of everything! I could not stop crying!! It was beyond perfect!!
