Hello Everyone and thanks for dropping by.  I first met Tanika and James back in 2010 when Tanika planned a big surprise birthday party for her new boyfriend James. When Tanika contacted me earlier this year and told me they got engaged i was very happy for both of them. I was even more excited when she decided she wanted me capture her big day in Jamaica. To start off the amazing weekend we took some really cool evening shots at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel. Tanika and James are very stylish so these shot are not your typical island pictures..lol. I’ll blog the awesome wedding pictures soon so stay tuned. Enjoy!

Hello Everyone. Thanks for swinging by. I have another amazing “Cultural Fusion” wedding to share.  Nya is Kenyan and Nigerian (Mom is from Kenya and dad is from Nigeria) and Abdul is Nigerian. (Check out their E-session) It’s no secret that i am a huge fan of cultural weddings so when Nya & Abdul first contacted me i was excited about the opportunity. Their goal was to have a wedding that has a Kenyan, Nigerian and an American feel to it. To the average couple that would be hard to accomplish but not for Nya & Abdul because they brilliantly merged everything together!  The wedding was well planned and had lots of surprises that had guests engaged and excited.  The wedding ceremony was held at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church Atlanta and the reception at the Georgia Aquarium which is an awesome venue.  I really had a great time shooting this wedding.  Everyone had a blast regardless of where they were from and that’s how it should be. A big congrats to Nya & Abdul! Thank you for trusting me to tell the story of your wonderful wedding. I wish you both a love filled and blessed married life! Check out some image from the day. Enjoy!

Hello everyone and thanks for swinging by. I have an interesting and unconventional wedding on the blog today. Remember Katie and John’s  “play style” Engagement session? They mentioned to me that their wedding would have the same theme and i was definitely excited about that. They met each other at the theatre and it’s a significant part of their relationship so the theme made perfect sense. The wedding ceremony was held at the theatre were they first met. The ceremony was carefully & brilliantly scripted. To start off the ceremony a slideshow of Katie and John was projected on the screen. Then each member of the bridal party read a script from a movie, book or play which all tied in to a great story of their relationship. I literally thought i was at a live show. It was pretty impressive. Congrats Katie & John! I wish you both a happy married life!

In honor of this “Theatre” themed wedding i decided to give this post the feel of the 2011 hit movie “The Artist” . As you probably know this movie was shot completely  in Black & White. So i am going to try something I’ve never done before. An ALL Black & White post! I hope you like it. Let me know what you think? Enjoy!

Hope you all had a great weekend. I have an awesome e-session to share with you. Davita and David have known each other since High school. So i knew this session would be a breeze and it sure was. I felt i was hanging with two really close friends. I honestly had a great time. If you’ve been to Little five points you know this location has a ton of character. It’s a really cool spot and we took advantage of various elements like the live band playing on the sidewalk, the Graffiti walls and the parked Retro cars! I am really looking forward to the wedding next month! Check out the proposal story below and pictures from the session. Enjoy!

Proposal story:

David went on a restaurant search to find the Italian restaurant where we had our first date. This was very difficult since the restaurant at the location we visited was closed for business. Lord behold he found the new location, and we had to drive close to 45 minutes to get there! During dinner I knew something was up! He seemed nervous the entire time, which is very odd since we’ve been together for seven years at the time and there was absolutely nothing that we haven’t said, done, or hidden from each other. At the end of dinner he started rambling about Lord knows what, then he finally got on one knee and proposed, and of course I said YES!

Hello! Hope you all had a great weekend and Fathers Day. It’s been pretty busy so i was not able blog last week. However, i have a great one today featuring Bilen and Damon. Bilen is from Ethiopia so there was a cultural aspect to the wedding. I learned that the groom has to come to the brides parents house and greet her parents/Family before taking the bride away. It was a really nice experience.  I had so much fun at this wedding because everyone had such great energy especially Bilen and Damon. I met them for the 1st time on their wedding day and i honestly could not ask for a better couple. Truly amazing couple. Congrats guys. I wish you both a happy married life.  The wedding took place at The Greystone at Piedmont Park. Check out some images from the day.  Enjoy!

It just seemed everyone had a well constructed speech. Funny, heartfelt, and emotional.

It was pretty cool Bilen gave the bouquet to her mom.

Hello everyone and happy Memorial Day! I have not posted an E-session in a while so i am happy to share this awesome one with you.  Carliss and Wayne met each other for the first time at Piedmont Park and have been together since. So keep in mind if you are single and you are walking around a park you might just bump into your future partner :). I really enjoyed hanging with Carliss and Wayne.  Congrats on your engagement guys! Looking forward to your wedding in September! Below is a short story of how it all started and some pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Carliss and Wayne met on a hot and sunny day sitting on a bench at Piedmont Park on Father’s Day, June 9, 2007. They spent hours talking and laughing that day and have been inseparable ever since. After sharing nearly 5 years of blissfulness together, Wayne decided that it was time to pop the question, so he did very unexpectedly on one knee in their bedroom on Valentines Day 2012.
